Pro-Social Initiatives

Unarmed Installation

Our ongoing collaboration Raafi Rivero and his Unarmed campaign is integral to our commitment to social justice— specifically bringing an end to racial discrimination. Unarmed draws from the iconography of legendary sports jerseys to shed light on the Black victims of police brutality. Each edition commemorates a victim of police violence, each represented by style and color scheme and associated with their local sports team to record victims’ name and age. Each star represents how many times the victim was shot— unarmed— by the police.

As unrest swelled in Summer 2020, USXL joined the initiative by fabricating individually cut, larger-than-life adhesive prints and lead groups to apply them to boarded up storefronts in cities everywhere— beginning in Brooklyn and expanding across the country.

Spotlighting these visuals in the public eye ensures these issues— and these occurrences— of great concern are not overlooked. Contributing imagery that resonates with the public is our way of advocating for social justice.

Commercial Environments

Pandemic Installations at the Brooklyn Navy Yard

As businesses have struggled through the Covid-19 pandemic all have had to adapt to a changing landscape. USXL has been fortunate to maintain itself in unprecedented times by innovating services for evolving needs.  Our recovery continues in the service of others.

At home in the Brooklyn Navy Yard industrial park, USXL has been proud to contribute to the yard's newly renovated Building 77. While strained by the pandemic, 77’s thought leaders created an initiative to transform its public space in support of the resident artist community. Working with original fine art by Lindsay Walt, Noël Copeland and Jackie Meier, USXL created installations on glass, metal, and painted walls. We used high resolution large format graphics, specialized materials and beam projection to reintroduce humanity to wide open spaces.

Marketing Innovations

Supreme x 500Large Blitz

Utilize a marketing and advertising campaign with our graphic print services to promote a business idea. USXL print is available for printing services for various marketing innovations.

Recent work with affiliate brand 500Large featured a product launch with Supreme. Outside its flagship SoHo, NY location we revamped a traditional NYC newspaper dispenser with limited edition collectible Nike, Jordan, and Adidas images. Fans at the Supreme release were able to receive a high res collectible print in place of a traditional NYC newspaper.
